This house was built in 1997 as a spec.
and was purchased just as we finished
it. The bar and the basement were
finished after the owners moved in.  As
you can see, it has a very impressive
entryway.  The kitchen and the interior
trim  won Best of Show. You have to
remember what was being designed in
cabinetry at that time to appreciate the
design of the kitchen. There again, it
was quite a departure from the norm
for our area; so it was a big hit with the
lookers.
Since the bar was not finished at the
time, it was not entered in the show.
The odd color in the pictures of the
bar are
neon lights bent to match the
cabinets. There is a glass ceiling in
the top of the uppers so the color of
the light comes into those cabinets.  It
was impossible to get a really good
picture to show this bar to its full
potential. It has to be seen in person
to be appreciated.  The owners
entertained a lot and were  into all
sports. He was a sportscaster and
executive director of a local chapter
of a national charity.  She was a

provost
of a college at the time.  She
is now a president of a different
college.  She was also a member of
the board of directors of a division of
the NFL.  While we were working
there,  Super Bowl tickets were
delivered and I had to sign for them.
That's the closest I will ever get to a
Super Bowl game. The reason I'm
showing the
dartboard is because it's
probably one of the most expensive
ones ever made. It was hard to find
glass that dark and it was very
expensive. It had to match the black
felt on the pool table. It was made
and installed using the owners
guidance and a tournament
regulations rule book as guidelines.
