| This house was done 1997. I think the entertainment center around the fireplace has a great look. It has all the media entertainment in one place including bookcases as you can see. .All the electronic equipment, including the stereo, is behind the doors over the fireplace. The TV is behind the two large center doors above the fireplace. In the lower row of cabinets there is pullout storage for CDs, tapes, etc. The kitchen and bookcases are made of Maple. The interesting cabinet in the kitchen is the island. Every single inch around the stove is used for storage. Spice storage was behind the doors in the areas where it was too shallow for regular depth cabinet boxes. Behind the other doors is canned good storage pullouts. The wifes' grandfather owned a New Jersey speakeasy with a very long bar in it. They have been moving a piece of this bar around with them since they got married. Because he was an executive of a very large American corporation; they had moved to the lot of different places. She trusted me to restore this treasured piece of her family history. I took it all apart and made a new round end where it had been cut off and made it to match the actual end of the original bar. I configured it so that it can be taken apart and put back together with ease each time they moved from then on. Their next move was to Paris. Could they be any luckier? I have misplaced the pictures that I took but I will continue to look for them. |
